The first ever Woodward Cheer Team is saying "YES" to another season! The Woodward eXtreme Cheer Camp (XCC) Cheerleading Team exploded out of their first season winning the Indianapolis Jamfest Super National Championship title in their very first competition, as well as Cheersport's So-You-Think-You-Can-Tumble National Championships.

The team is comprised of previous and current staff members and campers. The primary purpose of the cheer Team is to create a cohesive group of team members that competes and performs at events to highlight the high skill level and fun attitude of staff and select campers from Woodward Camp. These members' primary purpose is to serve as public relations ambassadors of Woodward Camp and its cheer program. Without a professional avenue for competitive cheerleading, more experienced cheer teams and college programs become the role models younger cheerleaders look towards and admire. Team XCC presents opportunities for younger cheerleaders to 1.) Learn more about camp, 2.) Have the ability to join a high level team regardless of location 3.) Have a repertoire of role models in the cheer community with the ability to work alongside and learn from them. Woodward XCC competes in the Level 6 Open Coed division that consists of between 5-36 members with one ore more males on the competition mat. All members must be 16 years of age or older by January 2012. If chosen, all members will compete on the mat at each scheduled competition. This team's first and foremost responsibility to each individual member, is to support, and embellish, the cheerleader's current All Star or college cheer team career. Therefore, XCC will only compete in less than 5 competitions, with optional appearance requests based on availability of its members. If you would like to be on the team, and have been to any of the Woodward locations as a past staff member or camper, but will not be at the PA camp between Weeks #1-10 of Summer 2011, you must

1.) Send in a try out video

2.) Download and fill out the Team XCC Informational Sheet

1.) Video

Videos must contain

1. One or more running tumbling pass

2. One or more standing tumbling pass

3. Standing Back Tuck

4. Basic stunting/either co-ed or all-girl

5. Any specialty stunting, baskets, tumbling, etc. that you would like to showcase
